Houston joined his father’s company, a world-renowned architectural firm, where he was photographing ad campaigns for various companies such as hotels, vacation resort areas, and other commercial projects for advertisements and brochures.   His style came from his photojournalistic background, unposed fresh interpretations of people interrelating and enjoying themselves in different settings.   Quite perchance a friend’s wedding was all it took to see the demand for his naturally fun yet elegant style of Wedding Photography coverage.   Upon meeting Margaret, they combined his journalistic style with her fashion techniques.   The chemistry opened the door to a very flattering and fun approach to Wedding Photography.   Hence Renaissance Photographics was born.

  Margeaux

Margeaux excelled as an artist in a variety of mediums winning awards from an early age.   After attending art schools in France and Mexico, she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Photography at UNT.     She then opened a Photography studio in Dallas, concentrating on Fashion Photography and working with Dallas’ leading modeling agencies.   This later led to requests by the models to photograph their weddings using those flattering enhancement techniques which she had personally developed.   Realizing the need for this specialized service, she and Houston developed this progressive Wedding style into an innovative company, Renaissance Photographics.

Renaissance reflects the ‘rebirth’ of art and creativity in the field of Wedding Photography.   “Coming from different photographic backgrounds, Margeaux and I realized a certain excitement the moment that we first began combining our individual styles.” Blending their backgrounds of fashion and journalistic photography, they bring a unique element to their weddings…. not only is their style natural but very flattering through Fashion techniques, ie capturing complimentary angles, defining cheekbones and chin lines, as well as refining skin tones.   A comfortable fun rapport with their clients allows for imagery that expresses flavor, character and personality instead of mere photodocumentation.   They come from a magazine quality perspective, photographing weddings nationally and internationally.
